What do I need to run On Hold Messages?

Do callers hear the same message every time they're put on hold?

If you have several messages, callers will hear a random section ofyour messages. The same messages are played for all the people put on hold. A message doesn't start to play when a caller is put on hold; the caller might just hear the end of one message and the beginning of the next one.

Why not just play radio orother music on hold?

Using radio stations to keep callers on hold entertained can be effective. However it opens you company up to several issues. Your company may be heavily fined or sued if found playing licensed music without permission or without paying APRA fees.  

Secondly, your company can’t control the content that the radio station is broadcasting. You don’t need your customers hearing radio ads about the competition, and your customers shouldn’t be exposed to obscene or inappropriate music and content.
